The Big Knights is a series of thirteen 10-minute episodes first broadcast in the United Kingdom on BBC2 over Christmas 1999. It won two awards at the British Animation Awards 2000 - Best Adult Series and Most Creative Use Of New Technologies. It also won the prestigious Prize for a TV Series at Annecy 2001, and Best Commercial Series at the FAN International Animation Festival 2001, along with the Grand Prize for the Best Animation Series at SICAF 2001 (the Seoul International Cartoon and Animation Festival).
CelAction2D allowed each animator to produce several seconds of finished, high-quality, ready-to-broadcast animation per day. What's more, our programmers worked closely with the animators and directors to fine-tune and customise the software, making further time and money savings over the course of the project.
